I AM SO GLAD YOU WANT TO STUDY 1 JOHN! LEARN ALL ABOUT THE STUDY HERE! CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU IN YOUR INBOX!
welcome!
To Our Free In-Depth Study in the Book of 1 John
Why study 1 John? So that we may know!
What do you and I need to know? John wrote this letter to the church so that we would know whether we are truly in Christ. His writing thunders with bold warnings and sound doctrine to stir us up and remind us who we are in Christ and the obedience that accompanies a true child of God. His words are much needed in the church today. Look at what John MacArthur says about John and his writings, “
“His epistles provide for us a powerful message for a compromising, convictionless, open-minded, permissive, and liberal-thinking church. He’s really the perfect writer to address the church today.”
God’s word is timeless and applies to all ages of His church!
Do You Sometimes Question Whether You are in Christ?
I do at times. When sin seems to have the upper hand and my attitude is anything but Christ like I doubt. My pastor says it is normal to doubt at times and it is also good. The book of 1 John will bring me and you face to face with what it means to truly be in Christ. John lays out systematically what it looks like to be in Christ and what it looks like to be out of Christ.
Let’s study this book well that we may know if we are truly in Christ!

What WOULD A STUDY GROUP LOOK LIKE?
At this point there is not a leader guide for 1 John. Praying to create one soon after the study online. In the meantime select someone to lead. Their job would be to facilitate, keep order, and keep the discussion time moving. It is best if the leader is not a new believer but one that knows the bible well and able to correct, in love, anything that does not aline with sound doctrine.
Pick a time and a day of the week to get your group together. Have the students answer the questions from the lesson on their own. When you get together go through each of the questions and listen to the answers others got from the questions.
