Waiting in Hope in the Midst of Wickedness
Evil abounds. There is wickedness all around. The book of Zephaniah paints a very stark and vivid picture of the world and it’s adulteress ways. In the midst of all the evil and wickedness the believer stands. Even at times taking part in its ugliness. But God speaks, “Wait for Me,” Zephaniah 3:8. There is hope dear one! God whispers wait, wait for Me!
There is a greater purpose in our waiting than we can even imagine.
God has a perfect redemptive plan for His children. But we must wait. We must wait in the hope of His Son Jesus Christ. While time ticks on and all seems dark and dreary never forget God is in our midst. Zephaniah 3:15-17. He has not forgotten those whom He loves with an every lasting love.
God Will One Day Restore
While we wait on the LORD remember these six promises made to His beloved. The “I Wills” of God’s Restoration found in Zephaniah 3:18-20.
- Gather~Zephaniah 3:18
- Deal~ Zephaniah 3:19
- Save ~ Zephaniah 3:19
- Turn ~ Zephaniah 3:19
- Bring Back~ Zephaniah 3:20
- Give you Renown and Glory~Zephaniah 3:20
We serve a God who WILL do what He promises!
He Will Exult Over You With Joy
|In that day it will be said to Jerusalem: do not be afraid, O Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp. The LORD your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.| Zephaniah 3:16-17
“As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, the LORD will exult over His people with gladness and song, resting in quiet ecstasy over His people in whom is His delight.” John MacArthur
My mind can hardly comprehend what God speaks in these last verses of Zephaniah! The God of all creation will one day sing for joy over His church! The body which we the redeemed are apart.
While we wait let’s rest in the Hope of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For He is the one Who shields you and I from the wrath to come!
Today is a day of praise dear ones! Will you fill the comment section with praise to our faithful God and Savior.

God is always faithful even when we feel alone. He is working out his plan in his time and I cannot wait to see what he will do with me!
Lisa Morris says
I cannot wait either Tina! Yes, He is always faithful, when we feel alone, and when we are not faithful!
