What You Will Learn From This Study:
You will learn about the family and the times in which the historical account took place. You will discover that God is providentially working in hard times when there seems to be no hope. You will learn about the God who provides and is sovereign over all things. You will know of God’s marvelous works of grace and His provision of a Kinsmen Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ!
A Simple overview of Ruth:
This beautiful love story is one of only two books in the Bible named for women (Esther is the other); and not just a woman but a Gentile woman at that. Tucked away in the transition between the times of the Judges and the inception of the monarchy, the story of Ruth is pivotal to the integrity of the Messianic line which will develop from the root of King David. Much rich theology about the person and role of Jesus Christ as our Redeemer can be traced to the typology centered around the figure of Boaz. The kind providence of God uses seemingly insignificant people and events to accomplish critical kingdom objectives. The loyalty and devotion of Ruth is rewarded with unimaginable blessing that spills over to all those who come to embrace the Lord Jesus as their Redeemer. How This Study Will Work:
Start Date Monday, April 12th: End Date: Friday, June 4th. A total of 8 weeks
- This study will contain 7 lessons which will walk you through each chapter and each verse of the book of Ruth.
- On Friday, April 9th, for those who have signed up either through email or joined my private Facebook group (see instructions below) I will send an email with the reading plan and a how to do this study information.
- After the first email or post on Friday, April 9th, you will receive emails or posts each Friday for the following 7 weeks of study. The Friday emails will contain the lesson for the following week of study. The last email and lesson arriving on Friday, May 28th with lesson 7.
- When you sign up through email you will receive 5 emails a week for the duration of this study. Each email will contain a suggested reading plan and what questions to answer for the day.
- Note: If you answer the questions suggested on each day you will finish this study in 7 weeks. You are not required to follow this study guide to participate in the study. However, I would encourage you to do so. Not to check a box and say I completed a study but to feed on the word of God daily.
- If you get behind, we all know life happens, just pick up where you left off. No condemnation here.
- When you sign up through email for this study, you will also receive all of Conforming to the Truth’s future emails. I do not flood your inbox with massive amounts of emails. But I will send you information on future Bible Studies and an occasional Blog post. After this study, if you decide not to stay on my list, simply unsubscribe when you receive your last lesson in this study.
